Chocolate Frogs

Ingredients
1 pound chocolate for melting

Preparation
Melt chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave according to package directions. Pour chocolate into a plastic frog mold. Put mold in the freezer to let the chocolate harden. After about 10 minutes or when the chocolate is hard, remove the frogs from the mold and pour more chocolate into the mold. Repeat the process until all the chocolate is used up.

Makes about 12 frogs.

I ordered my frog mold from amazon. This is the one that I purchased.

I do NOT recommend using melted chocolate chips for this recipe. I used chocolate that is specifically for melting. I tried this recipe first with melted chocolate chips. The chocolate that is used for melting holds together better, doesn't melt at room temperature, and most resembles a chocolate candy bar, which is just the right consistency.

I have made boxes for the frogs based on the chocolate frogs you can get at Harry Potter World. The boxes are smaller so they will fit these frogs. (I like the size of these frogs anyway because it means you can eat more than one.) Here is a PDF of the box that you can cut out, fold, and assemble. I recommend printing it out on cardstock.
